Function

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Security Officer with a strong background in Data Governance, Data Management, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Fraud Prevention, and Financial Crime Compliance. In this role, you will help safeguard our information assets, strengthen data-driven decision making, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to fraud, anti-money laundering (AML), data protection and internal security standards.

This role requires excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and a pragmatic, no-nonsense approach to security.

As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with business leaders, data owners, security teams, risk management, compliance, and technology specialists to identify risks, implement controls, and drive a secure and compliant data environment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Advise stakeholders on Data Governance and secure Data Management best practices.
* Assess and mitigate security risks associated with AI and emerging technologies.
* Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Support fraud detection, fraud prevention, and investigation activities from a security perspective.
* Conduct security assessments regarding data usage, data quality, and data protection.
* Collaborate with tech teams to establish secure and compliant data processes.
* Perform security reviews, audits, and compliance assessments.
* Advise management on strategic security and data-related risks.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Cyber Security, Data Management, Risk Management, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in security, risk, compliance, or data governance roles.
* Strong knowledge of:
  * Data Governance frameworks.
  * Data Management principles.
  * Information Security and Cyber Security.
  * Artificial Intelligence governance and risk management.
  * Fraud prevention and fraud investigation.
  * Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
  * Know Your Customer (KYC) processes.
  * Data privacy regulations (GDPR).
* Experience performing risk assessments and compliance reviews.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Certifications:
* Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CDMP, CISA or similar.
* Experience with AI risk management frameworks.
* Experience working in regulated industries such as financial services, government, or critical infrastructure.
* Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, and data governance frameworks.
