Function
Assignment context and description of activities
In your role as an IT Engineer you will, among other things:
· Translate business, facilities, and security requirements into technical BMS solutions (e.g., HVAC, Energy management etc).
· Onboard and integrate new BMS installations into ABN AMRO’s network and operational landscape, ensuring compliance with internal security and architecture standards.
· Perform technical risk assessments and vulnerability remediation for BMS devices, networks, and applications.
· Monitor, maintain, test and validate existing BMS solutions, ensuring performance, reliability, and alignment with operational needs.
· Collaborate with suppliers, integrators, building managers, and internal stakeholders to coordinate implementation and lifecycle management of BMS systems.
· Analyse and resolve incidents, bugs, and system malfunctions by collaborating with vendors on fixes or patches and other internal parties.
· Ensure proper documentation, including architectural diagrams, operational procedures, network overviews, security assessments etc
· Work within a DevOps environment, continuously improving services and automating processes wherever possible.

• You have Building management systems knowledge and experience
• You have computer networking knowledge and experience
• You are an analytical and critical thinker with technical understanding of IT systems
• You have experience in an Agile DevOps environment, where the Scrum principles are used
• You are naturally curious, proactive and a fast learner
• You are creative in producing technical solutions and can operate even when requirements are uncertain
• You have Azure CICD knowledge and you are able to automate end‑to‑end operational activities, including certificate lifecycle management, patching processes etc
• You have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in IT or a related field
• You have knowledge of ITIL
• You have experience in using IT guidelines, standards and best practices
• You have affinity with hardware and infrastructure
• You believe that feedback is necessary for growth, and you can share your opinion clearly with your team members
• Knowledge of ABN AMRO’s processes (Security), ServiceNow platform is considered a plus
• Knowledge of architecture is a plus
