Function
As a Data and IT Solution Architect within ABN Amro Clearing you play a crucial role in moving our business forward. You will have responsibility for design and governance of IT solutions with a focus on data (Data Platform, Data Analytics & Reporting, Market & Reference Data). You will focus on the optimal use of our IT landscape and steer our change in the direction of our defined future state architecture. Today, but also in the future ABN Amro Clearing wants to use modern technologies. The function of Data and IT Solution Architect is best described as:
Dealing with Complexity. ABN Amro Clearing is a bank in itself. As a Solution Architect you are able to balance short-term delivery of IT solutions against delivery of long-term solutions that fit within strategy and architecture.
Deliver. Our business lines are demanding. You are able to discuss the opportunities as well as the constraints related to business requests. Business requirements are key, but fit within the application of the IT architecture strategy is your responsibility and is governed by you.
Technology. Our IT environment provides lots of opportunities to work on tactical and strategic level related to the impact of IT-events as DevOps, Cloud and Streaming.
With the following results (SMART)
It is your job to oversee our application & data landscape. But also to inspire, involve and activate the development teams with each and every change. You investigate, tune and verify standards and strategic views with internal and external global stakeholders (e.g. product owners, business managers, IT managers, external authorities). You support decision making by creating, providing and communicating clear deliverables.
You develop and maintain solutions architectures in line with global target architecture, global policies, security standards and best practices covering all aspects from business service down to related information technology (the full stack) in order to contribute to and increase the reliability, security, flexibility, quality and cost efficiency of the global organization.
Requirements
You have a minimum of 4 years of work experience in the data and application domain, within a comparably complex environment (in- & external stakeholders, complex IT environment, different time zones and different cultures). You have experience with IT architecture and can think on conceptual level. You have strategic and analytical skills and the ability to understand, inspire and activate others.
In more detail:
Experience in data modeling, data integration and data architecture.
Experience with data science, analytics, business intelligence and similar technologies.
Experience with Cloud Data Platform Architecture for reporting & analytics (AWS is a plus)
Knowledge of Reference and Master Data Management.
Knowledge of data management principles and practices.
Knowledge of the different aspects of Data and IT architecture (applications functions, software development; application platforms, data structures and interaction patterns, data storage & retention strategies, data security aspects).
Knowledge and experience in architecture implementations and related methods and tools, such as TOGAF and Archimate.
Knowledge of solutions and tools in the (big) data domain is considered a plus.
