Organization
The role of the Process & Project Enabler/IT Asset & Configuration Manager is within the Center of Excellence (CoE) IT Control & Service Management which is part of our (IT) 1Global organization.
As IT Asset & Configuration Manager, you are the point of contact within IT C&SM for everything related to insight into IT resources and services. You are passionate, driven and know how to connect with the organization.
You manage the CMDB within our ITSM solution (ServiceNow). In doing so, you ensure that changes to the system and its content are controlled and structured. You work together with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external. You do this also in close collaboration with IT colleagues in the other regions we are located in (AP and US).

As IT Asset & Configuration (A&C) Manager for our IT Service Management team, you will be overall responsible for maintaining, updating and enhancing the Asset Management module/process. You also act as the backup of the Change Management manager. Together with the wider Service Management team you deliver value to the business partners, aiming for stakeholder satisfaction.
Function
You oversee all hardware assets (personal computers, printers, routers, servers, …), software assets (applications, databases, web sites, cloud environments, …) and financial assets (contracts, software licenses,…) in the organization.
You take care for proper registration of all hardware, software and financial assets in the CMDB and further enhance it.
You create and implement strategies for effective IT Asset Management (ITAM) systems.
You develop and enforce ITAM policies and best practices.
You are responsible for both the operational work round ITAM as well as to process part (improving asset management processes and document it).
You assist in the setup of Clearings CSDM (Common Services Data Model).
You integrate ITAM with other ITIL processes.
You will act as the IT Capability Owner for IT A&C management meaning that you drive the definition of the vision, roadmap, and value, ensuring it meets business needs through effective development, governance, and continuous improvement, acting as the bridge between technical teams and business goals.
You will act as the backup of our IT change manager.
You collaborate and cooperate with IT teams and individuals across the globe on various initiative, projects and tasks.
Requirements
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree or equivalent degree/experience.
At least 7 years of working experience in an IT Service Management environment.
Minimum of 3 years of IT Asset Management experience.
Certifications:
ITIL v3/4 Practitioner => required
CITAM (Certified IT Asset Manager) or CSAM (Certified Software Asset Manager) or CITAM (Certified Information Technology Asset Manager) or comparable => required
CHAMP (Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional) => preferred
Experience with ITIL Change Management required (i.e. chairing a CAB).
Experience working in a regulated and/or financial and/or IT industry preferred.
Key Competencies:
As we are a global company, global collaboration and communication is key (incidentally also outside EU business hours).
Familiarity of IT best practices, particularly in the financial services industry.
Knowledge of information management and of IT systems, processes, and regulations.
Your nature is to take the lead and act in the driver seat, not waiting until others tell you what to do.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of an organization, including senior management/stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail & documentation required.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with Atlassian Products (Jira, Confluence) and/or ServiceNow a plus.
Additional information
Assignment is on senior level !
Work from the NL office at least 3 days/week (tue and fri are mandatory).
Open to flexible working hours to collaborate with global teams.
As of January 1, 2026, we will be using a standard working week of 36 hours for external staff (to be determined in consultation with the functional manager).
This vacancy is open now for external contractors, but the vacancy will be converted into an internal position in due course.
