Function
In the Public Cloud Platform team you become part of a global team that works on establishing the right landing ground for new workloads on AWS to build upon. Your team consists out of 6 other AWS Cloud Platform Engineers that work on making a safe, compliant and consumable platform. You work together with other engineers and colleagues to help support the move from our current on-premise way of working to the AWS Cloud DevOps way of working while expanding the functionality of AWS platform.
With the following results (SMART)
– Use your AWS expertise to deliver expected work
– Deliver infrastructure as code while using AWS CDK
– Refactor existing source code repositories with Python
– Implement IT networking based on Network Security Perimeter standard
– Work on automated testing
– Migrate CI/CD pipeline to GitLab
– Expand AWS platform to other regions to follow business demands
– Help with migration of the workloads from on-premise to AWS cloud based on the roadmap delivered
– Collaborate with developers on software requirements
Requirements
– Strong software engineering skills in Python(Python development experience)
– Expertise in AWS CDK
– AWS Serverless services (Step functions, Lambda, SNS)
– IT networking
– CI/CD pipelines
– Automated testing
– GIT
– Good understanding of observability tooling (eg: Splunk)
