Organization
The Regulatory Risk Oversight (RRO) team within Regulatory Risk & Transformation is rolling out a regulatory adherence attestation process for a priority set of material regulations.
The Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance Expert will support this initiative by helping regulatory owners complete the regulatory adherence attestation questionnaire, reviewing responses and supporting evidence, challenging inconsistencies and gaps, and contributing to a consistent bank-wide view of regulatory adherence.
Function
Key activities include:
Supporting the roll-out of the regulatory adherence attestation questionnaire.
Preparing and facilitating discussions with regulatory owners and subject matter experts before and after questionnaire completion.
Reviewing questionnaire responses and supporting evidence, including documentation, controls, findings, self-assessments and sign-off.
Identifying gaps, inconsistencies and unclear conclusions and providing constructive challenge.
Supporting the formulation of conclusions and identification of emerging themes and trends.
Contributing to reporting and management information for senior governance bodies.
Drafting clear documentation of the methodology, process and approach used for regulatory adherence assessment, monitoring and reporting.
The assignment is expected to run until year end.
Distributing a 20-question questionnaire to senior regulatory owners and subject-matter experts. The questionnaire is intended to establish a consistent bank-wide view of how regulations map to policies and controls. It has been piloted across approximately five regulations and will initially cover the 50 most material regulations from roughly 1,000 regulations applicable under ECB, AFM, and DNB supervision. The target is to complete the initial set by the end of September, although SME availability may extend some work into October.
Coordinating pre- and post-questionnaire meetings with regulatory owners and SMEs, supporting completion
Reviewing responses for completeness and inconsistencies. The review is quality assurance rather than an audit, including checks for contradictions such as claimed full compliance alongside reported severe supervisory gaps.
