Function
The ABN AMRO development tooling department is responsible for delivering a state-of-the-art development environment to all the ABN AMRO development teams in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, UK, and India. The scope of the development environment includes many tools, from classical on-premises tools to tools hosted mainly on Azure and SaaS solutions, such as Azure DevOps.
The department consists of 8 teams, each covering a part of the development tool portfolio. The functional scope is from designing and developing tools on workstations, to backlog management, source code management and CICD until deployments in production. The department supplies CICD reference pipelines and pipeline building blocks (templates) that allow development teams to easily compose their pipelines and consume data in the underlying tools. We do this for a wide variety of technologies that are used within the bank, for example Java, Python, and .NET.
We need platform engineers with hands-on experience and knowledge. Are you getting energy by helping other developers, working under pressure to solve blocking issues for them and guide them through the world of Azure DevOps pipelines? If your answer is yes, then read on!
Mobile pipeline team
All teams in our department are equally responsible for both development/improvements and support. The mobile pipeline team has their focus on creating CICD pipelines for mobile applications. This team also owns all mobile specific CICD (SaaS) tools.
Requirements
We develop pipelines together with developers from the apps’ teams. For this team we are looking for an experienced engineer that works for and with developers to make easy and compliant pipelines, develop the pipelines building blocks (quality, security, testing, etc.) understanding the needs of developers but also of the security, central architecture, and other departments.
