Function
For Rabobank Utrecht, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer to join our Data Foundation team. Our ideal candidate is a proactive team player with a DevOps mindset and strong affinity for data (engineering). You are a people-oriented collaborator who reasons from the users’ perspective, are inspiring, make promises and keep them. You show decisiveness, courage and a continuous drive to keep improving. You have a good understanding of data processing and storage. Knowledge and practical know-how about ETL / ELT (e.g. DataBricks) and SQL cloud native databases in Azure is essential. You also need to be able to expose data via API’s and / or Event Streams (e.g. Kafka).
Requirements
Required knowledge and experience:
• Extensive knowledge on (entire) Azure Cloud Infrastructure stack;
• Design & implement Infra-As-Code solutions using Bicep;
• Azure DevOps pipelines and CI/CD;
• Toolsets for Data analysis (Databricks, Azure Synapse, Data Factory);
• Scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash, Powershell);
• Set-up and integrate API’s or Event Streams;
• Relational Databases (MSSQL, MySQL, Postgress);
• Versioning in Git (Azure DevOps);
• AI tooling and AI integration in your platforms.
Preferred Skills & competencies:
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
• Strong communication and documentation abilities;
• Collaborative;
• Used to working in a complex environment;
• Experience with DevOps way of working;
• Good at creating insight and overview;
• Quick learner.
