ABN AMRO Asset Based Finance is a wholly owned subsidiary from ABN AMRO. Primarily, we finance investments in movable assets (Lease) and debtor claims (Commercial Finance). Within ABN AMRO Asset Based Finance we develop our own software which includes our customer portal, the application that regulates the processes around insuring our debtors, processing the incoming customer data and the software for the incoming and outgoing payment flow. In addition, we write software for the integration of our standard packages with third party applications.
The software engineering department consists of about 100 employees. We are working 3 days remotely and 2 days in office in Utrecht.
We work in an agile way, and you will be part of a Scrum team. We aim to match you with the team that best suits your particular skillset and experience. At the moment we have several teams working on solutions within the Microsoft environment primarily using C#. At the end of 2024 we moved our software to Azure, and the transformation to a more DevOps way of working is well under way.
Function
As a Software Developer, you will design, develop, configure and manage our software applications and platforms so that the business can function optimally. You will be part of a team that is end to end responsible for service delivery towards the business and the customer.
You will be involved in several key change initiatives to extend functionalities, redesign technical architecture and further integrate the applications within the scope of the team.
Requirements
• University-level work and thinking
• In-depth .NET/C# expertise
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud solutions• At least 8 years of experience as a developer, including in enterprise environments
• Knowledge/experience in the financial / banking sector
• Software architecture
o Applying event-driven solutions
o Clean architecture
• CI/CD
• Writing maintainable software
• Passionate about software development and continuous development, keeping up with the latest developments in the field.
A significant advantage would be experience with:
• Redesigning/refactoring legacy systems
• Clear communication
• Giving and receiving feedback
• Ready for a challenge
• Providing support to less experienced developers
• Azure Certification is definitely an advantage.
• Given the team composition, a good command of the English language (written & spoken) is vital.
Candidates will be required to prove their eligibility to live and work in the Netherlands. This is a full time role 36 hours per week.
