The TenneT BTO (Business Technology Organisation) department is responsible for developing, realising and managing IT technology for the whole of TenneT. For TenneT we are looking for a Kubernetes Specialist (32–40 hrs/week) to join our DevOps team, Asgard.

Our internal customers are asking for a one-stop shop and self-service capabilities on our internal cloud platform — and we’re building exactly that.
Function
This position requires an professional and intellectual ability at bachelor level or higher. Alternatively you have a comparable qualification.
• You have profound working experience in the field of Platform Engineering.
• You have sound experience in Kubernetes.
• Your are able to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools.
• You are willing to provide schedule based 24×7 support.
• You show independence, initiative, and the ability to work in a team. This is for you just as natural as strong communication skills and very good English skills
Requirements
What you’ll bring:
• Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, and Docker
• Experience with Vault
• A collaborative mindset to align with DevOps engineers working on our Container Orchestrated Platform
• The ability to work closely with (solution) architects and engineers to identify platform needs
• A strong focus on privacy and security
• Readiness to respond to incidents and participate in standby rotations
• A proactive attitude in suggesting tools and improvements to reduce lead time for development teams
You are a prefered candidate if you;
• Have sound experience with maintaining a Container Orchestrated Platform, preferably CKA and/or CKAD certified or willing to get certified.
• Understanding of Object store, different types of open source databases and Kubernetes operators for databases
• Understanding Micro Services architecture
• Experience with Agile development & Scrum
• Version Management (git), Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
• Experience with deploying using tools like Helm & ArgoCD.
• You have experience with ELK, Prometheus and Grafana.
