MS Purview Implementation Specialist
Serve as the subject matter expert for Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) and Microsoft Purview suite of tools.
Collaborate with departments to customise DLP rules, data sensitivity labels, and policies aligned with regulatory and business requirements.
Develop and maintain documentation for MIP, procedures, and training materials
Train department users in MIP roll-out and provide guidance on auto-labelling and whitelisting.
Collaborate with other security teams to integrate MIP with other security solutions
Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts, working to continuously improve MIP program.
Provide guidance and support to business users on MIP-related matters.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of organisation data protection program
Requirements
Implement MS Purview Globally.
5+ years’ experience in Information Security role with a focus on Data Protection
Any M365 Purview related certifications are a big plus
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) and Microsoft Purview suite of tools
Hands-on Experience in designing, implementing, and supporting MIP solutions
Deep understanding of Microsoft Purview’s architecture, components, and capabilities, including data discovery, classification, cataloging, and governance.
Strong understanding of MIP’s core concepts, including sensitivity labels, protection templates, and data loss prevention (DLP) policies.
Understanding of different DLP policy types, including regular expression-based policies, keyword-based policies, and document fingerprinting.
Broad understanding of data protection concepts, including data encryption, access control, data backup and recovery, and data retention.
Deep understanding of data classification principles and methodologies.
