Organization

As an Interim CTO at a Fintech company for youngsters, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the company through a transition period. The primary focus of your assignment will be to establish and optimize organizational structures, define processes and ways of working, and coach middle management in their roles. This project is critical to laying the groundwork for sustainable growth and operational excellence. Your contribution will ensure that the organization is well-positioned to achieve its strategic goals while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Function

Organizational Structure Development
•    Design and implement an organizational structure that supports scalability and operational efficiency.
•    Create clear roles and responsibilities across departments, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Process and Way of Working Optimization
•    Develop and document streamlined processes for engineering teams.
•    Introduce best practices for collaboration, communication, and project management.
•    Establish clear KPIs and metrics to monitor progress and performance.

Coaching Middle Management
•    Mentor and coach middle management to strengthen their leadership skills.
•    Provide guidance on decision-making, team management, and strategic thinking.

Requirements

The ideal Interim CTO should demonstrate the following

Technical Expertise
•    Proficiency in modern software architecture, microservices, and event-driven design.
•    Familiarity with emerging technologies and cloud/serverless architectures.

Leadership and Strategic Thinking
•    Ability to align technology strategies with business objectives.
•    Proven experience in guiding technical teams and driving innovation.

Process Development
•    Strong analytical skills to design and optimize workflows and processes.
•    Experience in implementing effective ways of working within technical teams.

Coaching and Mentoring
•    Skilled in coaching middle management, fostering leadership, and improving team dynamics.
•    Ability to conduct workshops and training sessions to upskill team members.

Communication and Stakeholder Management
•    Excellence in stakeholder management and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
•    Collaboration skills to build relationships across departments and with external partners.
