Working environment
The Grid Customer Insights & Hyperpersonalisation (CIH) consists out of 120 people across 20+ teams. We are dedicated to making digital banking truly personal for all customers. Our mission is to create a 360° customer view, leveraging vast amounts of data to deliver personalized content, offers, and actionable insights that help customers achieve their financial goals. We serve all customer segments across countries, starting with a focus on the Netherlands and expanding internationally.
Our grid connects and standardizes all relevant digital channels, enabling seamless, hyperpersonalized experiences at every touchpoint. By mastering customer intent, we foster valuable, continuous relationships and empower both customers and the bank to make data driven decisions.
Function
In this role, you are (pro-)actively engaging with our stakeholders (business owners, Legal and Compliance, other departments that build technical components) to find out how our features and capabilities can be improved: you excel at probing for underlying needs. You challenge both the problem and the solutions, and ask the question behind the question: what do you need to arrive at a well-functioning solution? You create a clear overview of business requirements, systems, and sources that we impact and need, and you are able to describe and explain the impact on processes clearly in user stories. The goal is for the developers to be able to get started with it right away. Next, you participate in testing, gather the right data, and provide concrete input for future optimization. In short: with your analytical skills as a foundation, you help to turn complex information into practical requirements and solutions.
You will work very closely together with product owners and their teams. You will pick up some of the typical activities of a business developer like:
Intakes: Probe for underlying business needs by asking in-depth questions and challenging both problems and proposed solutions.
Create clear overviews of business requirements, impacted systems, and necessary data sources.
Translate complex requirements into well-structured user stories for developers.
Participate in testing activities to validate solutions and ensure requirements are met.
Gather relevant data to support decision-making and future optimizations.
Contribute to the digital strategy by participating in the development of new (digital) value propositions
Requirements
Well prepared (quality) epic and stories that help the teams to start development
Relevant knowledge, skills, competences & desired education level
· You have completed a higher professional (HBO) or university (WO) education and have at least 2 years of experience in a digital environment.
· You are highly analytical: concretizing business value, writing user stories (possibly supported with Visio), describing and documenting process flows, and using the right methods to gather and record customer needs (such as workshops and customer research).
· You have strong communication skills: you are not afraid to ask the right questions about the problem and solution, you are resilient, and you can guide stakeholders towards a solution. Additionally, you can clearly explain functionalities to both developers and stakeholders who are less technically inclined.
· You work in a detailed and precise manner and do everything possible to describe sharp requirements for the developers.
· You are self-reflective and actively and openly work on your personal development.
· Good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
· You are enthusiastic about sharing experiences with other business developers and learning from others.
